I am pleased to be able to confirm that Worcestershire Hockey Association will be holding county selection trials at Stourport Sports Club, The Kingsway, Stourport, DY13 8BQ & Winterfold House School, DY10 4PW for the oncoming 2025/26 season on the following dates.

Friday 19th Sept 7-9pm, Stourport Hockey Club U15 boys and girls

Sunday 21st Sept 10am-12 noon, Winterfold House School U13 girls
Sunday 21st Sept 1pm – 3pm, Winterfold House School U13 boys
All GKs to attend their relevant age group trial.

These trials are for keen, committed and talented hockey students who are looking for a further opportunity outside of schools and clubs to develop their hockey under the England Hockey County Programme. We would welcome you to encourage both Outfield Players and Goal Keepers who demonstrate the above talent and abilities to come to trial. Nominations are not necessary to attend these trials. Goalkeepers will be assessed within their age categories.

Please may your students/players be directed to the Worcestershire Hockey Association website to register prior to trial attendance. Registration will be on the Worcestershire Hockey Association website - www.worcscountyhockey.co.uk . Students may register online from 1st August 2025. All information about WHA, training, competitions etc… maybe found online and the website will be updated with information on training and tournaments as it is released from England Hockey. There will be a nominal charge of £10.00 plus admin. fee (non-refundable) per player to attend the trials. This fee is to cover coaching and pitch costs.

Talented U12 girls and boys will be trialled at the same time and place as the U13 age categories. Depending on numbers of students applying separate squads might be able to be run this 2025/26 season.

A further trial date will potentially be announced for U17 age group trials if there is enough interest and demand. It would be helpful if teachers /coaches could provide input regarding U17 squads
