For the last game of the season, Colvern 2s made the long trip down the M5 to Wotton-Under-Edge. Determined to win and building on last week's resilience, the Colvern defence stood firm repelling the opposition's attack. The score remained 0-0 at half time due to Frankie's amazing goal line clearance. We started the second half goal hungry with Kelly and Nia having great attempts at goal. The passing throughout the whole of the team was slick and accurate, creating many opportunities. But unfortunately, Colvern were unable to convert. Towards the end of the match, Wotton-Under-Edge broke away and scored a lucky winner. Colvern pressed for the last 10 minutes despite this, the score remained 1-0 to the home team.
