It was a sunny but breezy day for our home fixture VS Newent and Ross HC, we put together some excellent phases of play and are beginning to show encouraging signs of a team growing in confidence and starting to find a rhythm.

As a team we were confidently setting a strong press and putting the opposition under pressure. It was also fantastic to see our defensive transfer practice coming to life on the pitch, with the team beginning to look more comfortable moving the ball around and working together as a unit.

Despite some promising play, we found ourselves 1-0 down in the first half. However, the team kept their heads up, continued to battle and were rewarded with a beautiful short-corner goal from Baggs and PG! A brilliantly worked set piece that brought us deservedly back on level terms.

Both teams continued to battle it out, but neither could find a winner, and the match finished in an end to end draw. Player of the match this week awarded to Charlie for a fantastic performance; and Donut nearly awarded to Lucy for trying to play the second half without her stick but ultimately had to be given to Cassie for tackling her own team mate.
